Web Services for Fixed-length messages

Encountered a situation today regarding the functionality the Siebel application sends a pager message to the field service technician (via an email to the pager companies with the message as the email body).

There was a business need to increase the length of the message to the point that the message couldn’t fit into a single pager message. Unfortunately, the pager company’s system does not auto span the email body into multiple message if it is too long. To solve it on the Siebel end, it would require a rewrite of the script.

It would be helpful if there is a web service that takes in messages (in the form of email) and truncates the message into multiple fixed length messages and re-send it out.

Let me know if there is one such web service out there.
